Terms of Services- Rules & Expectations

We are a small, boutique style salon that centers a calm and enjoyable environment for all involved in the health & wellness process of your pup’s spa day. A peaceful area relaxes your pups, and ensures that grooming is an enjoyable part of their life, as opposed to a stressful day of dread.

To maintain this friendly atmosphere, there are some rules & expectations we expect both pet parents and their pups to follow.

If our salon is not a good fit for you & your furry friend, no worries! We have some trusted groomers with differently styled salons that we can refer you to. Every pet & every person is unique, and businesses are not a one-size-fits-all. Our ultimate goal is a good, healthy spa day for your pup- even if it is not at the Puppery.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone we see as a poor fit. Here are some deal breakers at the Puppery:

Excessively unruly, aggressive, or blatantly untrained dogs. We are a small, boutique salon- not a high volume or kennel-style salon. If your pup cannot calm down or be trusted in a cage-free environment, we are not a good fit.

Excessive barkers will be sent home. This noise stresses out other dogs, and is a nuisance to the lofts above us and the barber shop next door. We do our best to be respectful of our neighbors.

We do not “wrangle” dogs. If a dog cannot be safely groomed by one person, they will be sent home.

Bitey or “Nippy” dogs- We do not groom dogs that bite, and we do not muzzle. This is for our safety and your pet’s safety. Between the possibility of biting our sharp tools, or injuring themselves on a muzzle, we do not wish to risk anyone or anypup’s wellbeing. This is our personal choice. Dogs that bite or dogs that require a muzzle will be sent home.

One on One / Solitary grooms
If your pup has a medical condition that requires expedient grooming, or being groomed away from other dogs, we can make special accommodations for your pet. Our Special Needs grooms are performed at either 8 or 9am, Tuesday through Thursday.

As a Fear Free Certified groomer, the owner will book select specialty temperament cases on Sundays/Mondays, but only after an in-person consultation. These sessions start at $100 per hour with a $50 deposit.
